Service Delivery Model
  1. OSSH is purpose designed, built, staffed, and equipped exclusively for treating patients with bone or joint conditions, sports injuries and back pain.
  2. The operating suite is fitted with top standard air handling system providing clean filtered air to the operating theatre, positive pressure atmosphere (allowing air to move from the most clean to less clean area) with 24 air changes per minute in the operating theatre, 16 changes per minute in the preparation and anaesthetic area and 8 changes in the other areas of the department.
  3. Sterile Services Unit is designed to top current specifications, equivalent to “pharmaceutical Clean Room” specifications.
  4. Staff are individually selected for their competencies, skill, service commitment, compassion and personal attributes (bed side manner).
  5. Ward/Nursing staff are fully trained and qualified. The ward nurses team is staffed with most of the members have been working in our hospital since it opened providing a high level of continuity of care.
  6. All the hospital consultants (surgeons and anaesthetists) have outstanding track records. All consultants are permanent residents in the area. We do not employ “flying doctors” from Europe.
  7. The hospital grounds (approx. 2 acres) is built on a well appointed site with easy access to A47, A1(M), A605, 2 miles from the railway station, 1 mile from the main local NHS hospital.
  8. The hospital has an operating suite, X-ray Department 20 individual (single) bed rooms each with en-suite facilities, five outpatient rooms, conference/teaching room with CCTV linked with the operating room, fully equipped commercial kitchen and 44 parking spaces four of which are dedicated for the disabled.
