Training

Programmes

• All clinical staff are qualified and experienced with the Orthopaedic field.
• All staff attand annual Mandatory Training including fire safety, health & safety, manula handling, control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH), Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR), infection control, adult basic life support (BLS), basic food hygiene, lone worker, handling violence and agression, Caldecott protocols, risk management and complaint management.
• The Link Infection Nurse attends regular training sessiosn to ensure best-practice is adhered to.
• Radiographers attend Ionising Radiation - Medical Exposure - Regulations (IRMER) update courses.
• All staff are actively encouraged and supported to attend continuing professional development and training courses.
